 Great meals and parties in the Txoco Gourmet

A few days ago we invited all our very international group of guests to a wonderful dinner at the Ea Astei Houses. We think this is the perfect subject to start our new English blog: good food, good wine and wonderful people. These are the sort of things we all remember once the holiday is over and we go back home.

Our friends from Norway brought us some  delicious cod so we decided to prepare a popular local dish “Bacalao al pil-pil”, a Basque way of cooking this white fish. We also had typical “Spanish Tortilla”, the famous potato omelet, once you try a piece you won´t be able to stop eating! This was the favourite of the younger ones in the group. Most important was the wine that we chose to go with the meal: Txacoli. This type of wine is made in the Basque Country and the best way to taste the fruitiness is by drinking it cold.

We had a wonderful time and very interesting chats about our different cultures and sayings in our maternal languages.
